How To Start a Capsule Wardrobe Part 2

The basic of the basics.

Items that you never get bored with or that will go out of style. These are the wardrobe classics that are praised by fashion designers and style icons worldwide. And are therefore a true addition to your wardrobe.

 Leather Jacket

A good leather jacket or leather blazer is a true hero and should last you for years.  They come in many different colors and styles, but the black leather jacket is forever.

A Simple White Button Down Shirt

Like a blank canvas, the fresh start for every outfit.  A crisp white button down shirt is clean, stylish and always a good option.

 Trench coat

This list of timeless classics is not complete without the good old trench.  The icon of all coats and loved by street stylers and royals alike.

Oversized Blazer

A forever Jacket that you can pair with almost anything.  It looks great in spring with a dress or equally as good in winter thrown over your favourite sweater.  For a timeless classic, stick with a black or neutral colour.

 Crossbody bag

Where would we be without the crossbody bag?  The crossbody bag is practical, compact and gives your outfit the perfect finishing touch.  Preferably in black or a neutral colour so you can team it easily with every outfit.

 Little Black Dress

A true timeless key piece you can wear for almost every occasion, straight from work to a party.  You can never have too many black dresses!  A piece that will easily transform from day to night.

 Ankle boots

With a heel, without a heel, high or low, you can’t go wrong with a good black ankle boot.

 Striped Tee Shirt

A striped tee shirt is one of these basics you can wear all year round. A true classic and with a striped shirt you can combine endlessly, under blazers or your leather jacket.

Building a Capsule wardrobe for yourself will make your life so much easier; I cannot recommend it enough! With time, your capsule wardrobe will evolve and change. You will add and remove items as the seasons pass and your preferences shift, and that’s okay. But the benefits will remain, and that’s the best part of it!
